One of my favourite artists Dave Stevens created not only an iconic comc book character in the Rocketeer, but was a superb glamour too. I had enjoyed the Rocketman movie serials as a kid, and discovering his comic caught all of that brio and more, plus it crossed over into glamour territory with his modelling of the character Betty on Bettie Page. I still have some of his comics and even the watch manufactured for the movie (the only watch I own) but still in its tin.
Time to get out my Rocketeer tee shirt to see if it stillfits. Probably not.
Better to get out the graphic novel and enjoy it one more time.
