My copy of Ys arrived yesterday and have listened to it three times today. Not that I talk much about my musical tastes, but this is quite magical and captivating, extraordinarily epic, but initially irritating at points. I have since come to overcome those points. Her voice has range, but becomes forced at the upper end, although feels quite rich otherwise. Also the poetry of the lyrics is forced at points.
This is a wonderful CD despite these irks and quirks.
