Current mood: tired

Odd day.
Have been feeling really tired and my eyes have been sore.
My productivity has dropped too.

On the plus side...
My appraisal went well.
I finished listening to Batman: Knightfall, the BBC audio adaptation of the comic series. [Will review it at some point because it is excellent.] I now want to get Superman: Doomsday & Beyond by the same team.

Outside of work... Grabbed a copy of The Player's Guide to Ptolus, Carcassonne: The Tower, Worlds of the Dead, a couple of issues of Dungeon, and a copy of One Shots for Unknown Armies. I also discovered that Hobby Games are morons. Or at least one of their employees is...

Had a quick flick and looks good with 21 entries.
I will let you know once I have had the chance to read and review it.

Let me know what you think of carcassonne: The Tower.

I've only played it 2-player so far but wasn't really impressed by it.

Hobby Games are morons you say?

Only had a quick glance through Carcassonne: The Tower and I think that it looks too combatitive in nature. I suspect that its play style is at odds with the genenral feel of Carcassonne.

lulucthulhu is keen to try it though... Not sure when though.

I found it slowed things down alot and that people placed less pieces on the board because the chances of actually manage to score them were pretty low because they'd end up getting taken prisoner.

My experience is only playing it 2-player though and I would like to see how it plays with 4 or 5.

I ordered a copy of Worlds of the Dead, only to be told by the vendor that Hobby Games had informed him that the supplement was not availble.

I can only conclude that the person in question knows nothing, or that Hobby games have been late in paying their bills.

To be fair on Hobby Games the supplement was probably not available through them.

They have dropped the majority of their RPG products are seem to be focusing on sticker albumns, sweets (well they looked like sweets to me) and collectibles.

I would hesitate to call them a game supplier these days.

What do you think of Ptolus? Are you considering buying the whole book?

I am considering buying the whole book.
So I need to do that fairly quickly.

As to The Player's Guide... it looks pretty good. I will post some more when I have read it.
