We have been told that spider plants are hallucinogenic to cats.
Moogie likes chewing plants, particularly spider plants.
Is Moogie a junkie?

It is, as [info]lulucthulhu says, "Hard to tell."

Junkie, probably not. The toxicity is about the same level as catnip.

Some cats just like the feel of their teeth punching through stuff. (Ours are hell on plastic wrap.) The extra 'whee!' factor from the spider plant is just a bonus.

We had a cat, the late, great Harry T. Cat, who loved to chew on Christmas ribbons and plastic. I still have a credit card with his fang impressions on it.

Weird.

One of the great mysteries we ponder as we try to approach parenthood is how do we teach our children to "just say no" while we continue to give our cats catnip?
